In the Alps Hockey League, the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan and the EC-KAC Future Team compete on Tuesday for the already second time within a week. Last Thursday, the Broncos prevailed 4-2 in Klagenfurt. The day after, it comes to the first AHL duel ever between EC Bregenzerwald and HC Meran/o Pircher. For the second time within a week, the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan will face the EC-KAC Future Team. Last Thursday, the Broncos prevailed in Klagenfurt with 4:2. It was already their third win in a row. However, on Saturday their “winning streak” ended with a 2:5 home defeat against Zell am See. In the standings, the South Tyroleans are in ninth place with five wins from nine games. The Future Team has been waiting for a point win for six games and is twelfth in the table.

In the only game on Wednesday, EC Bregenzerwald will face HC Meran/o Pircher. It will be the first meeting of both teams in the Alps Hockey League. Last season all planned meetings could not be realized. Bregenzerwald is currently in strong form, with two wins in a row and four wins from the past five games. Only on Saturday, the Vorarlbergers defeated the strong-playing league newcomer Unterland with a commanding 5:2. With a total of six wins from nine games this season, ECB is sixth in the table. Meran could only win two games in the whole season. With six points, they are accordingly only in 15th and thus last place in the table.
