Ri. Bukarts scores for the second game in a row and helps his team to win

Austria

Latvian hockey player Rihards Bukarts scored a goal and an assist to help Klagenfurt EC-KAC beat Graz 99ers 3-1 in the Austrian Championship tonight. Bukart assisted on the team’s second goal. The Latvian forward has settled in quite well at his new club, accumulating three (1+2) points in three games.

In another match Artūrs Kulda started the match in the first pairing for Villach, but was held scoreless in the team’s 5:3 win against Bolzano. The experienced defender earned a positive efficiency rating of +1.

Slovakia

Vitaly Pavlov michalovce scored a goal to help their team celebrate a 2-1 extra-time win over Presov in the Slovak championship. Another Latvian also scored –Patrik Zabusov assisted by Pavlova in goal.Both players joined the club in early October and have already played nine games – Zabusov has four goals and six assists, while Pavlov has five points (3+2).

Sweden

MoDo continues their outstanding performance in Sweden’s second-tier Allsvenskan league with Richard Marene and Kristeras Gudlevskis in the ranks. The championship leaders celebrated their fifth consecutive win, beating Djurgarden 6:5 in extra time away from home. Gudlevski deflected 22 of 27 MoDo shots, while Marenis was held scoreless.

Switzerland

Geneva Servette continue their excellent season in the Swiss National League (NL), defeating Biel 6:2 in the leaders’ duel. Geneva’s Denis Smirnov and Sandis Smons Smirnov had one shot on goal in 13 minutes and eight seconds, but was held scoreless and finished the game with a negative efficiency rating of -1, while Smons was held scoreless in less than 11 minutes and finished the game with a neutral rating.

Three Latvians played in the Swiss second power play league (SL) Toms Andersons and La Chaux-de-Fonds beat Kisnacht Lions 6:5 in extra time Richard Black Forest and Nauri Sower in the rank. Anderson had an excellent game, scoring two goals, including the game-winner, and assisting once. In another match, the Harald Egle, whose cross didn’t help Langenthal to a 2:4 victory over Olten. Egle took part in the first goal.

Hockey Champions League

A peculiar result tonight was Oscar Batna represented by Mikeli Jukurit and Fieburg Gotteron in the 1/8 final – the first leg of the duel between the two teams ended in a 1-1 draw. Batna had two shots on goal in just over 12 minutes and earned a negative efficiency rating of -1. As the winner is determined by the aggregate of the two games, the two clubs will meet again next week.
