The expected clear affair was the quarterfinal of the Basketball Austria Cup between KOS Celovec ladies and UBSC-DBBC Graz
The Styrians put the young Klagenfurt women under pressure right from the start and thus played their way to a 24-point lead already in quarter one. The Carinthian home team continued to fight, but a comeback was no longer possible against the united Graz team. With 95:48 UBSC-DBBC secured the advancement. The other quarterfinal matches will take place tomorrow, Sunday, as well as next Tuesday.

Nina Winter, player UBSC-DBBC: “We started extremely strong, showed right away what we can do and put KOS under pressure. Then in the third quarter the performance went down a bit, but we successfully brought the victory to Graz.”
Antonia Ronacher, player KOS: “The team UBSC-DBBC is really strong this year. We were able to keep up well in phases and did a good job of implementing what we set out to do. We will keep training to improve further next week.”
